Our Mission & Vision

The Word of God instructs us to "Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it" (Proverbs 22:6).

At Covenant Academy, we recognize that the early years lay a foundation for all future learning.  Our mission is to build a strong community, of families and staff, working together to provide our children with the highest quality of education and training to foster a life-long love of academic and biblical learning.

Our vision is to grow and excel as a diverse learning community for both children and adults; embracing families from all cultures and walks of life.

Our Philosophy

Covenant Academy provides a loving Christian environment where each day begins with a devotional time (Bible reading, prayer and singing) and every Wednesday features a Bible-based curriculum.  The foundation of our program is a child-centered emergent curriculum which consists of developmentally appropriate project-based learning.

Daily preschool lessons focus on readiness concepts including pre-reading/reading, language development, early math, science and thinking skills.  The kindergarten program offers comprehensive reading, writing, math, science, and social studies.  Our reading program provides a healthy blend of phonics and whole languages at all levels.  Cultural enrichments include Spanish, French and Sign Language.

We focus on developing the whole child - spiritually, morally, intellectually, socially, emotionally and physically.  Children are encouraged to learn at their own pace and developmental level in an atmosphere of acceptance and affirmation.  We are committed to helping each child develop self-worth, independence, and the ability to achieve.

The Parent Connection

The involvement of parents and guardians is central to the mission and vision of Covenant Academy.  "The Parent Connection" is the part of our program designed to provide support for and partnership with our parents, so that together we can provide "foundational training that lasts a lifetime."  Included in this program are the following:

  • Frequent Newsletters
  • Bi-Annual Parent-Teacher Conferences
  • Bi-Annual "Pampered Parents" Nights
  • Parent Meetings
  • Other periodic surprises to show our parents how much we care!

Parents are welcome to visit the school at any time and to join us for field trips, morning devotions, fundraising and other school events.  We look forward to connecting with our parents to provide the highest quality program for our children.
